Karate Kids
Overview
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate Kids.
Karate Kids

Our Goal:
To teach your children to be a positive example at home, school and in martial arts class through a fun and structured program. Your child will experience fast-paced, fun-filled classes that are approximately 30/45 minutes long. The goal of the Karate Kids Program is to learn through having fun in structured and safe Martial Arts classes. In this program, we understand that each child learns and grows differently. Each child moves at his or her own pace and can feel the satisfaction of a personal victory. Classes become more challenging as each child demonstrates the readiness to accept more complex skill.

The Vigilance Martial Arts Karate Kids program is the perfect choice for your growing grade schooler or middle schooler. Your child will have fun while learning developmental skills, all within a safe, healthy and exciting environment. Our program works unlike any other activity simply because it has the perfect blend of fun and learning.

All classes are led by a professional specially trained to provide motivational instruction. Each instructor is carefully selected and undergoes extensive testing to receive certification credentials. Instructors are required to be recertified on a regular basis to assure your child receives the highest quality of instruction.
Community
In Karate Kids you need to have a training partner to practice with, so you spend a lot of time with the other students in your class. By creating a bond of trust and reciprocation, you and your grappling partner can then practice various techniques on each other and see what works or doesn’t work. This martial art cannot be learned based solely on the use of paddles or punching bags. Members at Vigilance Martial Arts have become close friends and help each other refine their skills and reach their goals.

DISCIPLINE & FITNESS
A byproduct of training in Martial Arts is better coordination because Taekwondo challenges the entire body, developing balance, agility, and poise, qualities that are often neglected in many team sports available to this age group. Karate Kids also uses karate-based exercises such as blocking, striking, and kicking in a fun, structured setting to teach a positive attitude toward exercise.
